01 Diagnosis

The operation that comes to us is in one or several of these scenarios.

Scenario 01

Symptoms in day-to-day operations

  • Finance closes the month and builds the accounting close in Excel.
  • Each critical system speaks its own language, and integration is manual.
  • The legacy environment runs, but hasn't evolved in years.
  • Old customizations became a black box with no documentation.
  • The contracted AMS only reacts to tickets and never improves the environment.
Scenario 02

The impact already shows in the results

  • Current-month decisions are made based on outdated data.
  • Data matches in one system but not in another; no one knows which is right.
  • Software already paid for becomes a recurring cost with no real use.
  • The only person who understands the environment becomes a single point of failure.
  • The technical team "fights fires" instead of evolving the operation.
Scenario 03

The price of staying as-is is high

  • The project turns into change order after change order.
  • The Oracle license is paid and consumed without the environment ever going live.
  • Poorly built integrations spread silent errors across the whole operation.
  • A failed critical migration costs the job of whoever signed off on the project.
  • The wrong partner contaminates the credibility of the next choice.

Every month the operation continues like this, there's a price that builds up on the balance sheet and another that weighs on the career of whoever signed off.

02 Market insight

The market has polarized. We are the third way.

The market for implementing critical applications has polarized into two extremes: big consultancies with high price tags and distance from operations vs. certified boutiques that deliver remotely and define scope during the project.

Big consultancy

01
The alternative

Hire one of the big international consultancies, with a consolidated method and global delivery scale.

The structural flaw

The price tag is above what most companies of that size approve internally. And the standardized model, with rotating teams, keeps its distance from the client's real day-to-day operation.

Remote boutique

02
The alternative

Hire a vendor-certified partner that operates remotely, with a fast proposal and competitive price.

The structural flaw

Shallow, remote pre-sales, scope sized by estimate, contract add-ons along the way. When it closes, the client receives a black box with no documentation to evolve the environment later — and becomes dependent on the vendor.

03 Why choose us

Taking's unique value.

Our approach is distinctive and efficient from the start to the end of the process.

Designing the detailed scope before the contract

What we do

On-site pre-sales in the field, typically spending days within the client's operation, with the involvement of the project managers who will deliver — from assessment to go-live.

Why it works

It's what avoids contract add-ons mid-project: the scope is micro-detailed before the contract, not estimated by guesswork.

Taking came here in person, understood the business, and we ran simulations.
Pedro Assis · Vipal Borrachas

Pre-sales with a business profile

What we do

EPM pre-sales is led by economists who speak to CFOs in the vocabulary of market and trends, not product. The project managers who deliver take part in this phase.

Why it works

It closes the gap between who sells and who delivers, and moves the technology conversation from the feature level to the level of financial decision-making.

How we prove it

An integrated model from assessment to go-live, stated by Taking's operation and validated in projects such as Vipal Borrachas' EPM.

The main differentiator was the developer's understanding of what we needed.

AMS that evolves the environment

What we do

Consultative AMS with backlog management, N1, N2 and time & material models depending on the environment, and Tate AI acting as N0 for triage and failure detection before they escalate.

Why it works

AMS stops operating by ticket alone: part of the hours goes to evolving the environment, not just to firefighting.

How we prove it

Up to 20% of contracted AMS hours can be redirected to evolution projects. A model applied in operations such as Yamaha's.

Tate AI embedded in delivery

What we do

Taking's proprietary AI that reads the Oracle knowledge base to speed up technical triage, acts as N0 in AMS and automatically generates minutes for every project meeting.

Why it works

Documentation is recorded by default, and turnover in the client's team no longer means loss of context — no black box, no dependency.

How we prove it

Tate is the instrument Taking itself uses to deliver — the same tool available to the client, spanning projects, AMS and managed squads.

06 FAQ

Questions that may be of interest to you.

We tried to implement once and it went wrong. How do we know this time is different?

We have clients who went through the same situation. The difference starts before the contract. In pre-sales, Taking says what’s going to be hard instead of promising an optimistic scope to win the bid. And the team in the pre-sales room stays on through delivery.

Do you only do Oracle?

Taking was born as an Oracle Service Partner and holds official expertise in EPM Planning and OIC. But the Business Applications offering covers NetSuite, EBS, Fusion, Salesforce CRM (support), SAP (support) and integrations via OIC. If your ERP isn’t Oracle, our 30-minute conversation sorts that out quickly.

We're a mid-sized company. Does it make sense to talk?

For Oracle EPM implementation, it makes more sense from companies with revenue near R$200 million/year. For NetSuite, support of existing environments, one-off integrations and specific projects, we serve smaller sizes. The 30-minute meeting is exactly to validate this, at no cost.

We use Excel a lot. Are you going to take the spreadsheet away from my team?

No. Oracle EPM has native integration with Excel, PowerPoint and Word. People keep using Excel day to day, and EPM is fed natively. The conversation isn’t about abandoning the tool that works — it’s about taking governance out of the formula that only one person on the team understands.

How long does a typical implementation take?

It depends on scope. Full Oracle EPM implementations (Planning, Workforce, Capital, FCC) usually take 6 to 12 months. One-off projects and integrations can be delivered in weeks. The diagnosis before the contract answers this precisely for your case, and the schedule comes with risks mapped out.

What happens when I click “talk to a specialist”?

You fill out a short form: name, company, role, email and an open field about your scenario. We reply within one business day to schedule the 30/45-minute conversation. No proposal, no charge, no pitch. If it doesn’t make sense for Taking, we’ll say so in the meeting.

Next step

45 minutes of conversation to understand your challenges and bring the transparency you deserve.
